SINGAPORE: A court today handed down an eight-month jail sentence on Malaysian actor Tony Eusoff after he pleaded guilty to possession of drugs.
Tony, 38, whose real name is Anthony Joseph anak Hermas Rajiman, was charged in court on March 31 for possession of Class A controlled drugs.
The Sarawak-born actor was accused of having been in possession of up to 4.56 grams of a vegetable substance that was analysed and found to contain traces of ganja.
He was charged with having the drugs at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority bus arrival hall at the Tuas checkpoint on March 12.
Film producer Datuk Vinod Shekar and several friends of the actor attended court.
Tony was reportedly in Singapore to film a drama.
