IPOH: The state government will upgrade the Silveritage Galleria Complex (KSG) in Medan Gopeng here, from next year and will reopen it to visitors in 2017.
State Consumer Affairs, Entreprenuer Development, Cooperatives, NGO and Civil Society Committee chairman Datuk Samsudin Abu Hassan said the complex would not only provide a commercial site for entreprenuers but would also double as a one-stop-centre for all products from the state.
“The Perak State Economic Development Corporation (PKNB) has been entrusted with identifying at least 50 entrepreneurs and those products from the state which have potentials to be placed at the KSG.
“In addition, it is to ensure the continuity of their business to a higher level and thus ensure KSG remains the focus and the pull factor for local and foreign tourists to Perak,” he said.
He said this when replying to a supplementary question from Salbiah Mohamed (BN-Temengor) and Radzi Zainon (PAS-Sungai Rapat) on the proposal on KSG, which is being developed by PKNS, when winding up a debate on the 2016 Budget at the State Assembly sitting here, today.
