SINGAPORE – A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight bound for Jakarta on Thursday afternoon had to turn back after oxygen masks were deployed, a spokesman confirmed.

SQ958, scheduled to depart Changi Airport at 12.30pm, returned 45 minutes into the flight. A total of 113 passengers and 12 crew were on board the aircraft.

No depressurisation occurred, and the passengers and crew were not in danger at any time, the SIA spokesman said.

The aircraft landed back in Singapore at 2.40 pm.

The passengers were re-booked on alternative flights, and SIA’s engineers are working with Airbus to investigate the cause. – Asia News Network
