KUALA LUMPUR – Popular singer Shila Amzah will release her new Mandarin single next month.
Her father, Amir Hamzah Salleh, or better known as ND Lala, said the music for the single was entirely composed by Shila, while the lyric was penned by a local Chinese lyricist.
“I hope that Shila’s new single will capture the attention of local music enthusiasts, and at the same time, penetrate the international markets, especially in China and Hong Kong,” he told Bernama after appearing as a guest on Bernama News Channel’s (BNC) Nine 11 programme, here today.
ND Lala said, at the time being, Shila, was currently promoting her latest Malay single titled ‘Hidayahmu’, which was released in June.
At the ‘My Journey’ concert at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands last August, Shila wowed her local and foreign fans with an impressive performance, singing 22 songs non-stop in eight languages, including Mandarin, Italian and French. — Bernama
