SHAH ALAM – Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) is expected to finalise the allocation of 15 of 56 state assembly seats to be contested in the 14th general election by the end of February.
Its general election director Dr Xavier Jayakumar said the 15 seats included those won by Barisan Nasional (BN) and PAS in the 13th general election.
“These seats are those which we consider as acceptable to all parties so we can allocate to all PH component parties,” he told reporters when met at the Selangor Election Commission (EC) office here today.
Earlier, Xavier together with leaders of Selangor PH, Selangor National and Bersih 2.0 leaders handed more than 200 protests to Selangor EC against the redelineation exercise in the state.
He said there was some dispute between the component parties over the seats but was confident it would be resolved at their meeting, which will resume after the Chinese New Year holidays. – BERNAMA
