KUALA LUMPUR – The Football Association of Selangor (FAS) believe its two new imports Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh from Liberia and Mauro Andres Olivi from Argentina will further enhance the squad’s M-League campaign.
Selangor team manager Amirudin Shari in a statement said apart from Ronaldinho who played for PKNS FC in the Premier League last season and Mauro from Leon de Huanuco Club in Peru, two other local players had joined Selangor.
The local duo are former Air Asia All Star FC goalkeeper Muhd Zarif Irfan Hashimuddin and former Harimau Muda B player Adam Nor Azlin.
“The players have undergone training under new coach Zainal Abidin Hassan to prepare for the 2016 M-League season,” said Amirudin.
In the pre-season preparations, Selangor beat Sarawak 2-0 in a friendly at the Selayang Stadium yesterday.
Selangor have lined up another two friendly matches against Kuala Lumpur on Jan 26 at the same venue and face Penang three days later at the same venue.
