KUALA LUMPUR – Laos chalked up their first victory in Group B of the football competition in the 2015 SEA Games after defeating Brunei 2-1 at Bishan Stadium in Singapore, last night.

Laos who were hammered 0-6 by defending champions Thailand in the opening match on Friday, broke the deadlock in the 11th minute through Khochalern Phoutthasay before Brunei levelled the tie courtesy of Muhammad Azwan Ali Rahman’s strike in the 68th minute.

Malaysia who scored a 1-0 unconvincing win against minnows Timor Leste in their Group B opening match on Saturday, will face a tricky match against Vietnam at the same venue on Tuesday (June 2).
