MIRI – Sarawak police have shot dead two armed robbers who tried to attack a team of policemen during a raid here Sunday morning.
Sarawak CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar told a press conference that the two were believed to be from a gang of foreigners who had been robbing and terrorising the people living along the Luak-Bakam area near Miri city.
The duo, who are in their 30s, were shot dead when they tried to attack the raiding team who ambushed an abandoned house used by the robbers at about 1am.
