KUALA LUMPUR – Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd has introduced a 4K TV called “The Frame”, an ultra high-definition television made to look like a picture on the wall.
SME Head of Consumer Electronics Business, Jimmy Tan Chee Wee, said the television was designed to complement the new lifestyle of homeowners wanting to enhance their interior decor.
“The television is targeted for a niche market as the new market segment will be customers who are looking for a television not only to watch their favourite programmes but also to display art pieces or images as part of the living hall decoration,” he told reporters during the launch of the 4K TV here today.

“The Frame’s comes in two sizes – 55-inch and 65-inch. It can display works of art or photographs, which can be controlled via mobile application.
“To ensure that it enhances the ambiance and decor of any living space, it comes with customisable frame colour options of walnut, beige wood and white, providing users with the flexibility to match their television to their interior,” he said.
