KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, with its first dual pixel camera, will be available in Malaysia beginning March 18.
The camera, with its refined design and streamlined software functionality, also represents the next generation of smartphones.
Samsung Malaysia Electronics IM Division Product Manager Go Benn Lee said the Galaxy S7 Edge’s dual pixel camera would deliver brighter and sharper images, even in low light.
He said the dual pixel technology featured brighter lens with a wider F1.7 aperture, bigger pixel, faster shutter speed and accurate autofocus even in the darkest night.
“In fact, the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge is constructed with 3D glass and metal-all in a sleek design with durability and ergonomic curves for a comfortable grip,” he said during a sneak preview of the Samsung Galaxy S7 for the media here today.
Go added that the Galaxy S7 Edge was waterproof and compatible with rough weathers or outdoor activities.
He said it also had bigger battery capacity which featured 3,600mAh, an enhanced processor and an optimised software to ensure longer lasting battery life.
“Packed with incomparable fast wired and wireless charging speed, charging time has reduced dramatically and is especially ideal for users who are always on-the-go,” he said.
He said as far as storage is concerned, the Galaxy S7 Edge is equipped with a microSD card slot that can host up to 200GB of expandable storage, as well as, a hybrid SIM card tray with dual SIM card slots.
