KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah government has decided to give a RM500 special aid to all state civil servants in January next year, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
He said members of the Community Development Leaders Unit would also get the aid.
“The special aid is in appreciation of the service of civil servants who are the pulse of the government,” he said when tabling the 2017 State Budget in the State Legislative Assembly today.
Musa also announced that the state government had decided to raise the civil servants’ housing loan ceiling from RM350,000 to RM500,000.
He said it was sad that a handful of civil servants had tarnished the image of the whole civil service through their abuse of power in the offer of infrastructure projects valued at billions of ringgit.
“I am confident that the majority of civil servants in the state are committed and dedicated in discharging their responsibilities,” he said. – BERNAMA
