TENOM – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman made a working visit to Tenom today to check the progress of the road infrastructure project and rural electrification programmes at Jalan Rundum Kemabong, Kampung Kapulu and Kampung Katubu in the district.
He was also given a briefing by district officer Madiyem Layapan at Tenom Agricultural Park before opening the Herb Garden and taking part in the tree planting programme organised by the High Court of Kota Kinabalu at the park.
Musa decided to take the wheel and head to Kampung Kalanyaan to see for himself, the progress of the Mini Estet Sejahtera (Mesej) project involving rubber planting and construction of 30 units of houses for the participants.
He ended his visit by officiating at the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of Tenom Hotel by a local company, Kianda Enterprise Sdn Bhd.
In his address to department heads and community chiefs here, he said the Sabah state government would continue working to provide “the best services” for the people.
“We do not care what people or the opposition say. Let them talk. What is important is that we work,” he said, adding, the statewide visits conducted by state cabinet ministers and senior government officers were not a gimmick in anticipation of the general election.
“We are not seasonal leaders. We work as if there is going to be an election everyday. BN do not know what time means when it comes to working for the people. We work before the election, after the election and after the election,” he said. – BERNAMA
