KOTA BAHARU – The prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor today visited the family of the late former Kelantan menteri besar, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, at their home in Pulau Melaka, here.
Rosmah who arrived at the house at 3.10pm, was accompanied by Perak Girl Guides Association chief, Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Normahani Raja Shahar Shah and Datin Seri Kamarzan Ahmad Meah, wife of the International Trade and Industry Minister.
Rosmah spent about 30 minutes talking to Nik Aziz’s wife, Datin Tuan Sabariah Tuan Ishak, 67.
Observing that Tuan Sabariah was rather unwell and had lost her voice, Rosmah said she shared with the latter a tip of drinking mint water by boiling mint leaves in water for three to four hours.
“This is to cool down the body and to get rid of phlegm,” she said, adding that she advised Tuan Sabariah to take care of her health and to have a lot of rest.
Earlier, Rosmah who is also the Malaysian Girl Guides Association president, handed out aid for 5,000 flood victims in the Pengkalan Kubor state constituency, Tumpat.
Aid was also given out to 15 flood victims in Kampung Tanjong Kuala, Pengkalan Kubor.
Nik Abdul Aziz, 84, the PAS spiritual leader, died at his home in Pulau Melaka at 9.40pm last Thursday.
