KUALA LUMPUR – The prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, attended a premier religious talk on the Muslim holy month of Ramadan at Bangunan Bakti Siti Hasmah, here, today.
It was organised by the Charity and Welfare Body of the Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti), of which Rosmah is the president.
The two-hour talk, delivered by religious speaker Dr Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, revolved around Ramadan as the month for seeking forgiveness and the month the Quran was revealed.
Better known as Ustaz Farid Ravi, the preacher also urged Muslims not to just focus on performing their religious obligations during Ramadan but to make it a daily practice at all times.
Also present at the talk were the deputy prime minister’s wife and Bakti vice-president Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman, Puspanita (Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants) president Puan Sri Rohani Abdullah and Perkep (Police Family Association) chairman, Puan Sri Imran Ibrahim. – BERNAMA
