KUALA LUMPUR – Former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Ronaldinho has expressed his interest to play in the Malaysia League (M-League) without any charges.
The 37-year-old noted that he really love to play in this country because Malaysians are passionate about football.
“Actually it is not a joke, I’m love to play in Malaysia. All people here love football and I’m sure the people will treat me very well.
“Maybe I will play here for free,” he told reporters in a press conference after the launch of UEFA Championship Trophy Tour in Pavilion shopping centre, today.
Around 400 fans flooded the Pavilion main hall to catch a glimpse of the world football living legend and a chance to selfie with the UEFA Championship Trophy.
In the meantime, the two-time Ballon d’Or winner revealed that he has many projects upon his retirement since the official announcement in early January.
“As you know, I want to focus on my academy – Ronaldinho Soccer Academy, and give it back to the kids as I want them to become professional footballers in future,” he said.
In another development, Ronaldinho is confident that his country, Brazil will have an equal chance to win the World Cup 2018 in Russia this June.
“I think we have a great chance this time. We have a very strong team as well as a great coach,” he said. – BERNAMA
