Robbery Victim Rescued From Ledge Of Building

SHAH ALAM: Firemen this morning rescued a robbery victim who was left stranded on the ledge of a building at Jalan Opera G U2/G of Taman TTDI Jaya here.

The New Straits Times was made to understand that the victim, a Bangladeshi man, was earlier robbed and abducted by several unidentified individuals.

The robbers then handcuffed the victim before fleeing the scene, said rescuers.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations management chief Alimaddia Bukri said they received a call at 7am and dispatched a team of five firemen from the Kota Anggerik fire station to the scene.

“Initial information revealed that the victim was taken into the building by his abductors before being left on a ledge.

“Firemen used a ladder to bring him down and he was handed over to the police. The incident is now under police investigation,” he said. -NST
