KUALA LUMPUR – The government has spent a total of RM456 million in the search mission for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the figure was an estimation of expenditure throughout the two and a half years of the search mission.
He said the decision to suspend the underwater search in the southern Indian Ocean was taken following a tripartite meeting last July.
“We had agreed that the search will only resume with the discovery of new credible evidence,” he told the Dewan Rakyat during the question and answer session. – The Sun
