SEREMBAN – Police have arrested a woman suspected of stealing belongings of victims at surau of hypermarkets in this city.
Seremban police chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said the 31-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday after a victim lodged a police report that her handbag was stolen while she performed prayers at the surau at the Aeon hypermarket here.
“Investigations found she was involved in five such cases at the Mydin hypermarket here and also one case in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur,” he told reporters here today.
Muhamad Zaki said police were perplexed why the married suspect resorted to doing this because she came from a well to do family. – Bernama
