GURUN – Residents of Taman Ria Mesra II here, affected by the bomb blast in December last year, have urged for a meeting with the parties responsible to discuss their fate.
A representative of the residents affected, Khairul Anuar Ahmad, 53, said the impact of the explosion left 16 houses severely damaged and unsafe for occupation while another 45 houses suffered minor damage.
“Since the explosion, various parties had come forward and promised to repair our houses but nothing was in black and white and we are being left in the dark.
“We hope a meeting will be convened with the parties responsible to discuss and resolve this issue,” he told reporters when met at the residential area today.
On Dec 24 last year, four people including a soldier were killed in the bomb explosion. – BERNAMA
