ALOR SETAR – The residents of Taman Sri Kota in Jalan Kuala Kedah, here have created a replica of a tank decorated with Jalur Gemilang, to enliven this year’s National Day.
The 365cm by 243cm replica was made from bamboo stalks and recycled items like tyres.
Taman Sri Kota neighbourhood watch chairperson Azlina Abd Aziz said the vehicle was chosen because it was the symbol of struggle for security forces in the fight against the enemy.
“About 200 bamboo stalks were used to create the replica’s frame and it is decorated with more than 70 flags donated by the residents,” she told reporters here today.
Azlina said the residents took one week to build the replica. – BERNAMA
