KUALA LUMPUR – The remand order of a 23-year-old suspect who was believed to have killed his mother at a condominium in Ampang on Oct 4 has been extended until Oct 17.
The remand order was extended yesterday for seven days, Ampang Jaya Police Chief ACP Hamzah Alias said when contacted today.
The unemployed man was believed to be high on drugs when he was said to have slashed and stabbed his 49-year-old mother to death with a parang.
He later went to the Bukit Indah Community Police station carrying with him the blood-stained parang, apparently to surrender himself, but got into a scuffle with a policemen on duty before he was subdued and detained. – BERNAMA
