SHAH ALAM- The Syariah High Court today dismissed an application for notice to show cause filed by celebrity Serina Redzuawan’s ex-husband, Gavin Edward O’Luanaigh.
Gavin, whose Muslim name is Salahudin Ghaffar, had filed the application due to violations of the custodian agreement.
Judge Salehan Yatim in delivering the decision, asked the plaintif to resubmit the application.
Salehan however did not give out the reasons for the decision.
Meanwhile, Salahudin’s lawyer, Datuk Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar when met, said he would look at the dismissal of the application and its reasons before filing a new one.
On April 17, Salahudin, 41, who is a British expat businessman, had filed an ex-parte application, after Serina, 35, uploaded several statuses on her Instagram account, which he deemed as a violation of the joint-custody arrangement granted by the court on July 27.
NSTP had previously reported that the daughter of renowned chef, Chef Wan, had uploaded status on social media on March 19, saying that her ex-husband had prohibited her from seeing her children.
This was despite the custodian arrangement which allowed Serina to meet the children on weekends.
The couple was divorced at the Petaling District Syariah Court, with a single “talak” on Aug 1 last year after seven years of marriage.
They have two children, namely, Tristan Tareef, 8, and Isabella Saffiya, 6.- New Straits Times
