PETALING JAYA – Rapid KL monorail has suspended its four-car train sets temporarily following safety checks on its trains.
“The decision was taken today to carry out safety checks on the four sets of 4-car trains,” its chief operating officer Mohd Ariffin Idris said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 24).
Ariffin said Rapid KL has deployed shuttle bus services along the monorail line for the convenience of commuters.
“The fare is RM1 per trip with a headway of 15 minutes, subject to traffic conditions,” he said.
“Rapid KL apologises for the inconvenience caused but the decision had to be taken as there is no compromise on safety,” he said. – The Star Online
