KANGAR – The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail today thanked and complimented all agencies that had worked with the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs).
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said the agencies including the Perlis Mufti Department, Perlis Islamic Religious Affairs Department and Perlis Syariah Judiciary Department had shown exemplary performance throughout 2017.
“It is hoped that the agencies will not only keep up the momentum but will also strive for further improvement in the years to come,” the MAIPs president said in a statement issued here today.
According to the statement Tuanku Syed Faizuddin is currently in Bangkok, Thailand to hand over MAIPs contribution to Haroon Mosque in the city.
In 2017, MAIPs created history when it emerged as the first Islamic Religious Council to receive Standard Accounting for Government Agencies (SAGA) certificate of compliance while Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPs) emerged as the first higher education institution in Malaysia to obtain the MS ISO 9001: 2015 certification.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also reminded the agencies not to be satisfied with the awards and successes achieved so far but to keep progressing for further success. – BERNAMA
