KUALA LUMPUR- As of 9pm, six victims of yesterday’s Keramat tahfiz school fire are still being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Two of the victims were reported to be in critical condition, including an 11-year-old student, while the rest are recuperating at regular wards.
Those in critical condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit are students Muhammad Shahir Sharifudin, 11, and Indra Kurniawan, 13 .
A list prepared by the hospital, furnished to the New Straits Times by sources, stated that the other victims were identified as:
– Adib Baqir Mohd Khalid, 14;
– Muhammad Syamin Che Azmi, 18;
– Zunnun Misri Nasrun, 15; and
– Wan Muhammad Danish Hisham, 15
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a civilian, whose name has yet to be disclosed, was also given treatment for light injuries. It is learnt that he was injured while attempting to rescue the victims. -NST
