MELAKA – A special joint committee between Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) and Jelajah Usahawan Malaysia Pakar (JUMP) will be established to attain the goal of creating at least 10,000 young entrepreneurs by 2020.
PUNB chairman Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam said the committee, being chaired by PUNB board of director member Datuk Jamilah Bakar, would also comprised PUNB and JUMP officers to produce the targeted 2,000 young entrepreneurs this year.
“We fully support the proposal by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to set up a special cabinet committee to help address the problem and produced more entrepreneurs,” he said in a statement here Sunday.
A total of 1,353 young entrepreneurs obtained PUNB loans, totalling RM66 million, since it was established five years ago. – BERNAMA
