A shirtless man’s decomposed body was found near Pulau Perhentian Kecil.
District police chief, Supt Khaled Che Lah, said a group of fishermen discovered the body floating on the sea, 10 n.m. off Perhentian Kecil island, at about 2.00 p.m yesterday.
“I believe the semi-decomposing corpse belonged to a foreigner,based on the tattoos inked on numerous parts of his body.”
“The body was taken to the Besut Hospital mortuary at about 4.30 p.m yesterday for post-mortem.”
Meanwhile, Day 5 of search efforts to locate a missing fisherman from Kampung Pengkalan Atap, Kuala Besut, here, continues.
Last Thursday, the boat which belonged to Ali Majid, was found unmanned in the middle of the sea at about 2 n.m. off the same island.
Following the incident, a report was sent to the Pulau Perhentian police station to alert the public on an ongoing search operations that would be assisted by personnel from the Fire and Rescue Services Department (Bomba), Civil Defence Department (JPAM), Marine Police Department, as well as the police.MYNEWSHUB
