Probe On Pupil’s Tongue-Cutting Incident Ready This Weekend

KLANG – Investigations on the case of a pupil who was allegedly forced to cut his own tongue in a bully incident at a school here last Thursday, was expected to be wrapped up this weekend.

Klang Selatan police chief ACP Azman Abdul Razak said police were now in the process of obtaining statements from various parties including the victim, witnesses, suspects and teachers involved.

“To record statements from the victim and witnesses was the biggest challenge to police as they were young and aged less than 10 years.

“We need to wait for them to calm down their emotion before statements could be taken,” he told reporters here Monday.

Besides, all statements taken would be submitted to Bukit Aman for study while forensic unit had also been called to recover evidence including blood to support the statements of witnesses.

Last Thursday, the eight-year-old boy claimed that he was forced to cut his own tongue by a group of five Standard Three pupils from the same school. – BERNAMA
