Prince’s Sister Is ‘Not Business Savvy’ To Inherit His $800 Million

PRINCE’S former manager claims the star’s sister is not “business savvy” enough to take on his estimated $800 million fortune.

Reformed drug addict Tyka Nelson could be in line to acquire the superstar’s estate, including his secret vault of unreleased material, if he failed to leave behind a will following his sudden death on Thursday, according to reports.

Owen Husney, Prince’s first manager, said he had “prayed” the star’s legacy had been left “in good hands”.

He told the Press Association: “I’m sure Tyka is a great person. I would be remiss to think she has the music business savvy to be able to handle a body of work that’s got to be worth 250 to 500 million dollars.

“Prince’s music has never really appeared in commercials. God forbid someone gets hold of this thing and it winds up in some toothpaste commercial.

“I pray that he has left it in good hands with people who know what they’re doing.”

Ms Nelson, 55, discussed her past drug problems with the National Enquirer in 2003 when she revealed she had sold her body for “food, money and Pampers.”

Her brother Prince was found collapsed in a lift by staff members at his Paisley Park estate near Minneapolis on Thursday morning, more than 12 hours after he last seen alive. The 57-year-old star was pronounced dead at the scene.

And on Friday, as the world continued to mourn his death, the Purple Rain singer was secretly cremated after his family followed his wishes that there “be no drama”.

World exclusive pictures in the Sunday Mirror show the poignant moment his family took the icon’s ashes on to their final resting place.

The service is a stark contrast to to that of his bitter rival Michael Jackson whose funeral was beamed live across the world as Hollywood greats gathered to pay their respects.

Prince’s body was quietly released back to his family shortly after 1pm on Friday after undergoing a four hour autopsy at the Minnesota medical examiner’s office in Ramsey.

From there he was driven across Minneapolis to the First Memorial Western Chapel where, accompanied his sister, her son Prez and another member of the family, he was cremated. – Daily Mirror
