CARACAS -The president of Venezuela and candidate for the Front of the Fatherland, Nicolas Maduro, sent on Sunday “a message of unity, hope and inclusion” for all Venezuelans, in a joint radio and television broadcast.
“Venezuela is bigger when we build it among all,” he said in his speech and recalled that “the country is at stake” so it was necessary to work even harder for it.
In addition, he asked opposition candidates registered with the National Electoral Council (CNE) to conduct a “clean campaign” for the upcoming presidential, legislative council and municipal council elections on May 20. “Let ideas be the strategy to convince electors instead of insults,” he reiterated.
The head of state urged Venezuelans living abroad to visit consulates and embassies to register in the Electoral Registry (RE) and participate in the elections.
He also urged the people to participate in the activities that will be held this week to mark the fifth anniversary of the death of Commander Hugo Chávez. – BERNAMA
