KUALA LUMPUR – Premier League leaders T-Team mauled Kuantan FA 5-0 at their home turf Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, Kuala Terengganu last night.
‘The Titans’ goals were scored by Ahmad Takhiyuddin Roslan in the 42nd minute, Mohd Norhakim Hassan (55th), Sadriddin Abdullaev (62nd),Muhammad Safawi Rasid (79th) and Azrul Hazran Amiluddin Baki (90th).
Kedah edged closer to T-Team after edging DRB Hicom FC 2-1 at the Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar and are just two points adrift of the leaders who have 23 points.
The Red Eagles got their first goal in the 54th minute which was scored by substitute Ahmad Shakir Mohd Ali before their new Brazilian import Sandro Da Silva made it 2-0 in the 67th.
DRB Hicom FC reduced the deficit when Mohd Fakhrullah Rosli found the mark in the 88th minute.
At the Pasir Gudang Stadium, Sabah sprang an upset when they defeated hosts Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) 4-2.
The Southern Tigers opened accounts with Nicolas Delmonte and Shafiq Shaharuddin scoring in the seventh and 21st minutes but Sabah took the fight to them and came from behind to win with goals by Abdoulaye Diagne Faye (35th), El Hadji Diouf (80th) and Joel Joseph Chianese (83rd, 90th).
Elsewhere, Penang defeated UiTM FC 3-0 at the City Stadium in George Town, Negeri Sembilan known as NS Matrix this season went down 0-1 to Kuala Lumpur at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Paroi Stadium, Paroi while PKNS FC and SPA Putrajaya FC played to a goalless draw at the Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya.
