KUALA LUMPUR – Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today Public Relations consultant Paul Stadlen has permanent resident status in Malaysia.
As such, he said, Stadlen did not require a permit to work in the country.
“For your information, the Immigration records show that Paul Stadlen (Gregory) is a permanent resident of Malaysia.
“As such, he is free to enter and leave as well as work in this country without the need for a work permit issued by the Immigration Department,” he said in his written reply to Wong Chen (PKR-Kelana Jaya) who had asked whether Stadlen had a legitimate permit to work in the country.
Stadlen, at one time, headed the Kuala Lumpur branch of communication consultant firm Apco Worldwide, and prior to that was said to have served in the communication team in the Prime Minister’s Office.
APCO Worldwide is a communication consultant firm based in Washington and has 29 branches worldwide. – BERNAMA
