KUANTAN – Police want the user of the ‘Kagawa Onieshia’ Facebook social website to come forward urgently to the Kuantan district police headquarters to assist in the investigation of obscene and vulgar comments hurled against the Tengku Puan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Kuantan district police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said the police had already opened an investigation paper on the issue following reports lodged by seven non-governmental organisations (NGOs) yesterday.
“Police are now investingating the case under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult aimed at provoking a breach of the peace.
“At the same time, the individual involved is urged to come forward urgently to assist in investigations,” he told reporters here.
He said the police would only investigate the case relating to the impoliteness of the individual concerned against Tengku Puan Pahang.
The case involving the rudeness of a group of footballers who displayed a giant cloth carrying the image of an individual with the face of a dog during the Charity Shield between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang at Stadium Tan Sri Hassan Yunos, Johor Baharu last Saturday would be investigated by Johor Baharu police.
Abdul Aziz said the matter had been informed to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, which was also in the process of identitfying the individual.
Yesterday seven NGOs, including a representatatve from the palace, lodged a police report here in connection with the case.
Onieshia had written the comments in response to an advice which was believed to be from Tunku Azizah on the rudeness of a group of football supporters who displayed a giant cloth with the image of an animal donning a shirt with the Football of Malaysia (FAM) logo at the finals of the Sultan Ahmad Shah Cup in Johor Bahru, last Saturday. – BERNAMA
