HUTAN MELINTANG – Police are not ruling out elements of crime in a car found razed, believed to be linked to missing deputy public prosecutor Kevin Anthony Morais as it could be a meticulously planned criminal act by parties concerned.
Hilir Perak police chief ACP Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said this is because police have yet to find any evidence at the scene.
“We have requested assistance from the Forensic Department to confirm the identity of the car. But to date we have still been unsuccessful in finding the chasis number of the vehicle.
“This shows the crime was carefully planned such that we cannot even find the chasis number,” he told reporters at the search and rescue operation centre in Hutan Melintang here today.
He said so far, police investigations have not come out with any evidence to link the car to the missing DPP which had gone viral.
Several witnesses said they heard a loud explosion and they saw a car on fire in the oil palm plantation in Kampung Sungai Samak. – BERNAMA
