Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar had confirmed that Muhammad Wanndy was killed in an attack in Raqqa, Syria, on April 29.

Abdul Jalil said the police also received good cooperation from the public who provided information to help nip any problem in the bud.

In another development, Abdul Jalil said the state government had approved the building of a police station and a mosque on Pulau Besar.

“We’re going to place a number of policemen on a permanent basis on Pulau Besar, and have requested the state government to also build residential facilities for the personnel,” he said.
