KANGAR – The movements of all Perlis police staff will be monitored at all times via the use of walkie-talkie.
Perlis Police Chief Datuk Azisman Alias said this would boost communications between all members of the contingent especially during specific operations so that they do not become complacent or negligent.
Azisman when speaking to reporters after the Police Chief Monthly Gathering here today said the monitoring would also be for all agencies under the Police such as the Malaysian Border Security Agency (AKSEM) which would help them combat crime.
He said this method, used when he was the district police chief in Shah Alam, Selangor and Ipoh, Perak, proved to be effective in solving crimes, including when carrying out major operations.
He also said police would increase surveillance at all border areas for better control and to combat crime. – BERNAMA
