KOTA BAHRU – Kelantan police yesterday detained four suspects and seized various types of drugs worth about RM98,600 from a car and a sundry shop in Jalan Pengkalan Chepa, here.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said during the 12.10am raid, a team from the state narcotics Task Force unit detained two suspects, aged 21 and 26, and seized a variety of drugs from their car.
“Police found 3,564 methamphetamine pills, 300 Eramin 5 pills and 20 grammes of syabu in the front passenger from the car in front of the shop. Police later checked two other suspects at the same spot and found 70 methamphetamine pills,” he told reporters at the Kelantan police contingent headquarters, here today.
Mazlan said police also seized RM17,460 cash from one of the suspects.
“The suspects are believed to have been actively involved in drug trafficking in Bachok and Kota Baharu for the past two months but all four suspects did not have any previous criminal records,” he said. – BERNAMA
