SHAH ALAM – The police have detained three youths in connection with a gang which targetted convenience stores and 24-hour restaurants last Thursday and Friday.
The suspects, aged between 17 and 20 were picked up from two houses in the district.
Members of the gang wore full-faced helmets and posing as customers, had struck at the outlets, while one of them was armed with a pistol.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said the trio were linked to four cases over the past two months.
Several cellphones, which were believed to be from the gang’s criminal activities were also seized, he told a press conference here today. – BERNAMA
