KUALA TERENGGANU – Police have crippled a drug syndicate active in the state and seized over RM300,000 worth of drugs.
Terengganu police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Aidi Ismail said two men in their 20s were arrested with about 17,200 methamphetamine pills and 606.19g of syabu at their rented home in Bukit Payung on Feb 8.
Police also seized over RM22,000 in cash as well as three cars and two motorcycles.
“The men, a fishmonger and a labourer, are believed to have been active for about six months,” he said.
The seized drugs are estimated to be worth over RM318,000.
Both men have been remanded until Wednesday and the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug trafficking. – The Star Online
