KUALA LUMPUR – A man who allegedly kicked a woman on the pedestrian bridge linking Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) to Jalan Raja Laut, was arrested last night after the video went viral.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested in front of Masjid Saidina Hamzah in Kampung Batu Muda, Jalan Ipoh here, at 11.05pm.
Kuala Lumpur Police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said the investigation found that the suspect was arrested last year for committing a similar offence.
“The suspect does not have any mental problems but has a bad temper. He has criminal records such as making threat, arson and causing hurt,” he told reporters at a press conference in Cheras, here today.
The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing hurt. – BERNAMA
