NIANTIC CEO John Hanke has revealed that Pokémon GO has 65 million monthly active players, nine months after its launch.
It’s a huge number, and this explains why Pokémon GO remains a top 10 grossing app in many regions, even this far after launch.
This is contrary to past data from a Wired article from last year which says that GO had fallen from 50.2 million on Aug 12 down to 32.4 million that September.
But that data was provided by a third party analytics firm, Apptopia, not Niantic itself, and the game has also launched in more global regions since that time.
