PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak attended the Islamic Affairs Premier Forum organised by the Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI) at Seri Perdana, here, tonight.
Present were his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who is also the president of BAKTI and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his wife Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis.
Also present was Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, cabinet ministers and menteris besar.
The forum titled ‘Seiring Sejalan’ featured three well-known panelists, namely Datuk Kazim Elias, Ustaz Syamsul Amri Ismail or better known as Syamsul Debat and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia lecturer Datuk Dr Norhafizah Musa.
Ustaz Zakaria Othman from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) acted as the forum moderator.
The forum, among others, touched on culture, society and households, managing disputes and differences as well as uniting Malaysians of different races and religions.
The one and a half-hour forum was broadcast live by Radio Television Malaysia.
About 400 guests attended the forum including BAKTI members, representatives of the Police Family Association (Perkep), Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organisation (Perkim), Malaysian Armed Forces Family Welfare Body (Bakat), National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) and university students. – BERNAMA
