KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak congratulated Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa for his appointment as the new President of the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM).
The prime minister said the appointment was proof that Ali’s leadership and the transformation of Malaysia’s administration system were recognised by the Commonwealth countries.
“Congratulations @AliHamsa55 for the appointment as CAPAM president, it proves that Commonwealth countries recognise his leadership and the transformation of Malaysia’s administration system,” he tweeted tonight.
Ali’s appointment to helm CAPAM as the president for the 2014-2016 term was unanimously agreed by members of the association at its Member’s Meeting at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) earlier Saturday.
The meeting was held in conjunction with the biennial conference of CAPAM, which will begin tomorrow until Oct 21 with the theme ‘Public Service Transformation: A New Conversation’. – Bernama
