TUMPAT – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is concerned about the Siamese community in the country, said International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Mustapa, who is also Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, said this was evident when he approved a multi-purpose hall for the community here after they gave their undivided support to the BN candidate, Mat Razi Mat Ail during the Pengkalan Kubor state by-election in 2014.
“The Prime Minister was happy with the support of the Siamese community (to the federal government) not only in Kelantan and Terengganu, but also in Kedah, Perlis and other states (with the community).
“The Siamese community is very good, devoted and loyal…we are fortunate that the Siamese community is very grateful and because of that, the Prime Minister cared about this community,” he said when opening the Prime Minister’s Sawaddee Carnival 2018 on the grounds of the Wat Sukhomtharam, Kampung Kubang Panjang here tonight.
A the carnival, 120 recipients from the Siamese community received donations in the form of food kits donated by the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile Mustapa, who is also Kelantan UMNO Liaison Board chairman, said the state would experience many more positive changes if the people gave the mandate to the BN to administer again.
“God willing, if we win, we can undertake many benefits for the development of Kelantan. We have never had a Prime Minister who is close with Kelantan (before this), so we have to reciprocate (Prime Minister’s good deeds) by voting the BN,” he added. – BERNAMA
