PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor tonight attended the Aidilfitri open house of the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Officers Association (PPTD) at the Ministry of Federal Territories at Menara Seri Wilayah, here.
The Prime Minister was received upon arrival at 8.30 pm by Federal Territories Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, Public Service director-general, Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal and PPTD president, Datuk Seri Zainal Rahim Seman.
Also present were ministry secretaries-general, senior government officers and administrative and diplomatic officers.
The Prime Minister dressed in a pink baju Melayu, spent almost an hour to join guests for dinner and mingled with the officers before leaving the function at about 10 pm.
About 2,500 guests who attended the event were feted with various delicacies such satay, roasted lamb, nasi beriani and traditional Malay cakes and a performance by a Negeri Sembilan Culture and Arts Department troupe.
The guests were also entertained with songs rendered by the Selangor Road Transport Department employees.
Earlier, Najib also cut a glutinous rice cake as a symbol of the 65th anniversary of PPTD and handed over raya money to children of PTD officers at
the Aidilfitri gathering. – BERNAMA
