BANGI – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took time off from his busy schedule for a walkabout of Koperasi Professional Putrajaya Berhad (Koprojaya) ICU National Sports Carnival at Sport Complex, National Institute of Valuation, Kajang today.
The Prime Minister who arrived at 7pm spent about 15 minutes to meet and mingle with civil servants who participated in the sports carnival.
Though his presence was only for a short period, Najib’s presence to kick around and play table tennis, lighted up the atmosphere at the stadium and received with a thunderous applause.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.
The carnival, held for the first time, was organised in conjunction with the National Sports Day which will be celebrated tomorrow.
About 800 participants are taking part in the carnival that features seven sports, namely football, badminton, table tennis, netball, volleyball, carom and bowling. – BERNAMA
