MEXICO CITY – Five people were killed when a small plane crashed in the northern border state of Chihuahua, Mexican officials said.
The crash happened in the city of Santa Barbara shortly after the small plane took off at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday from the Frisco airport.

The aircraft experienced mechanical problems that “caused it to go down in the area known as Nogal,” the AG’s office said in a statement.
