SHAH ALAM – The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has allocated RM2 million for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes this year.
Its General Manager Azlan Md Alifiah said apart from that allocation, the corporation would also distribute its business zakat (tithe) totalling RM1.69 million for the same purpose.
He said this in his speech at a ceremony to donate speaker systems to religious schools in Selangor at Maahad Integrasi Tahfiz Selangor, Klang, here today.
A total of 99 religious schools selected by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor had received a complete set of speaker system each with a total value of RM243,723.68.
“This contribution is aimed at giving back the PKNS’s profits to the community and as an added value to the existing facility,” he said. – BERNAMA
