KUALA LUMPUR – Pizza Hut Malaysia, a unit of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, plans to introduce another four to five new products this year, following the launch of its first new product, Awesome Loaded pizzas, this year.
Pizza Hut Malaysia Senior General Manager Low Kang Moon said there would be more value products and innovations to be introduced in this year to attract more customers.
It is understood that the company, on average, launches at least one pizza product in every quarter of the year.
On the sales of the newly launched Awesome Loaded pizzas, Low said it was expected to help drive Pizza Hut’s sales mix by about 10 per cent.
“We are confident of achieving a 10 per cent increase in sales mix if the customers support us,” he told reporters after launching the Awesome Loaded pizzas here, today.
The new product featuring six new toppings will be available at all 378 Pizza Hut outlets nationwide from today until the end of this month. It will be promoted on television, radio, newspapers and social media to reach a wider customer base.
Asked if Pizza Hut planned to establish more branches in the country this year, Low said the company is currently looking for the right locations for expansion, but did not divulge further details.
“If there are opportunities and ideal locations, we will certainly establish more branches,” he said.
To date, there are 158 Pizza Hut Delivery and 220 dine-in restaurants in Malaysia.
The company opened more than 15 restaurants last year, Low added. – BERNAMA
