KOTA BAHARU: Kelantan team captain Mohd Badri Mohd Radzi today apologized to fans and supporters after losing their Super League match against Pahang at the Sultan Muhammad 1V Stadium here on Saturday.
He said the players did their best and the 0-2 loss to Pahang was the ‘nature of the game’. Representing my fellow players, I humbly apologize to all the supporters for our failure to beat Pahang in the match,” he said when contacted here, Monday.
Mohd Badri, who is popularly known as Piya, hoped the fans and supporters would continue backing the team as the season was still in the early stages.
“I understand the situation when the supporters find it hard to accept the loss. But we must look forward and forget the dark episode of being shamed by Pahang on Saturday,” he said.
In another development, Kelantan are expected to sign new import players as three players are currently undergoing trials.
Kelantan Football Association president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said three more imported players would be tested to strengthen the team.
“Today, three more import players have reported for trials under coach (Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah), let the coach and team manager decide,” he said on his Facebook posting today.
Kelantan currently have four imported players, namely, Emmanuel Kenmogne of Cameroon, Isaac Pupo of Liberia, Jonathan McKain from Australia and Erwin Carillo from Colombia.
Kelantan are currently 10th in the Super League table with seven points after recording just two wins in seven matches.
